Let Go

Let go

Let go of the minutes, hours and days of second guessing

Let go of the loves that you don’t want to love anymore

Let go of the loves who forgot how to love you

Let go of your beating heart that thinks it saw the lion’s fang In the electric bill

Let go of apologizing for the space you take up

Without your shame you’d be a sure fit

Let go of that space that has to be numb on the edge of things

Meet your discomfort

Date your fear

Sit with your truth

And say it

Not with spit

Not with tears

Say it like you were talking to a lover

Say it like you are your lover

Then

Let go of your lover

Let go of yourself
